Geography
Geography of Iran is a very interesting topic to read. Iran is a vast country, the 2nd largest in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia, with more parts of its lands being inhabitable.
Natural Effects in Iranian Geography
Iran isn’t all deserts. It’s not all forests. It’s not all mountains. In fact, it has all of them in one country! Therefore, the climate could be quite different from place to place.
In some areas like north and west, there are high mountain ranges with the highest percentage of population concentration. In central Iran, there are arid and semi-arid areas where water sources are scarce and people have inhabited these areas less than the previously mentioned parts.
Northen mountains, The Alborz, block the humidity coming from the Caspian Sea and the Western mountains, The Zagros, block the humidity from The Mediterranea. That’s’ why central Iran is deprived of sufficient humidity.
