Iranian culture is so ancient and rich that most of the world travelers visit Iran to visit its cultural riches. One can see the wealth of the culture manifested in various genres, age, and levels. Some have kept their simplicity and some amaze the 21st century people with the complicated meanings. Iranian Culture in Antiquity There is a huge number of archeological findings unearthed in various parts of Iran indicating numerous aspects of the ancient cultural background of Iranians. Long before certain ethnic groups create world empires in Iran, there were local governments ruling in different parts of the Iranian plateau. They have handed over ancient culture legacies to the contemporary Iranians that exist even today. The civilizations at Jiroft, Shahr-e Sukhteh, Sialk, Hasanloo, etc are only a few examples of developed lifestyles and systems. People had formed certain forms of cultures under those ruling systems. We know of some of such heritages in good details. Solid Pillars of Iranian Culture Iranian history is full of ups and downs. Many have invaded our country in the past, but Iranians have maintained and kept their identity through preserving their traditions, rituals, beliefs, skills, etc. Some of them may have changed names, forms, appearance and so on. However, they are the same in their core and cause. Certain beliefs or codes of ethics have led Iranians to choose particular convictions as the main pillars of their culture. One such thing is the necessity in the existence of a set of beliefs. Iranians have initiated Mithraism and Zoroastrianism that have inspired other religions.
